Context : The Union of the Comoros is the Queen of the spices. On this windswept volcanic soil, sunny all year long, naturally grow cloves, cumin, vanilla, cinnamon, saffron, cardamom, nutmeg, curry, turmeric, various peppers, ginger, etc., in abundance. The labor is not expensive, the State facilitates the production, and CIOA has at its disposal marketplaces in order to organize the international promotion of the sector.

Project description : The installation of a production unit TITAN FACTORY (automatic profiling of the metal frame of buildings, to be assembled, mortar-free, on site), is provided for a quick building, at lower cost, within the framework of a Public-Private Partnership.

Context : The Union of the Comoros is a territory on which the flora is of rare generosity, where everything grows naturally. A paradise for the production of organic tropical species. Ylang-ylang is known, as a perfume base, of which the country is one of the rare global producers, and which is sold about €600 per liter, but other species are in significant numbers.

Context : The absence of a deep water port in a country like the Comoros is a double penalty, because, in addition to the need to import, and to lose its currencies, the importation logistics are expensive (€2000 more for a container compared to Mayotte, 15mn close). The construction of a deep water port is a viable investment which will allow, at the same time, to comfortably remunerate the investors, as much as it will contribute to reduce the costs of the consumed products.

Context : Chicken is consumed daily in the Comoros. However, over 90% of the consumed chicken is imported

Project description : Creation of the Comorian poultry sector which will have to cover all the chicken production and processing chain, through its distribution. The Comorian promoter has already been selected. He has at his disposal lands, over 1000m2 of constructed hen houses, and the project is designed.

Object of the partnership :
We are looking for operational partners, with an expertise in the poultry industry, and financial partners in order to collaborate on the following aspects :

• Project funding
• Project implementation from the production to the distribution of the chicken, in partnership with the selected producer for the project
• Interface with the local distribution channels

Context : Create wealth in the Comoros seems to be a challenge at first sight, but in reality it is a very simple approach, with a market of 750 000 consumers which can be reached in one day ! It is question of a country where everything still has to be produced in order to satisfy its people needs. A poor, but united society, with a diaspora which only waits to be able to find on the spot the infrastructures of elementary development in order to return home. The local authorities there are willful, pragmatic and approachable.
